Post-Cognitivist Psychology 2005

The University of Strathclyde Psychology Department in association with the British Psychological Society (Scottish Branch) are pleased to announce the first international conference on Post-Cognitivist Psychology, to be held at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, on the 4th-6th July 2005.

The conference will showcase the new theoretical approaches which have been developed since the decline of cognitivist ‘symbols and rules’ psychology. The rise of the ‘New Psychology’ (Embodied, Discursive, Situated and Distributed Cognition) has opened up new territory for the field, and this conference will attempt to bring together these approaches to show the way forward in terms of creating a new paradigm for 21st century cognitive science.
